I have tried all SSRIs and found Sertraline the most inaffective. I swapped to Mirtazapine 15mg upto 30mg after 2 weeks. My sleep is better, anxiety much better but weight gain is an issue if your quite inactive
Hi, I’m so sorry it’s not helping you. I am having a similar experience. I was taking 200mg of sertraline with no improvement. What might help is switching to a different medication. Just remember that it is not your fault. Everyone’s bodies react differently to different medications. For us, sertraline may nor help us the best. What might help you figure out which medication you could switch to is if you have a family member who has the same disorder(s) as you and is taking a different medication that works for them. If you don’t have any family members like that, no worries. You can talk to your physiatrist about switching medications and they will most likely know the most. I’m really sorry that group therapy hasn’t been helping. Have you tried solo therapy? Sometimes I find that one on one therapy works better for some. If you want to, you can try both at the same time. I hope this helps and I hope things get better for you. Have a wonderful day.
I was on 50mg Sertraline for a few years and never really experienced a full benefit. Felt much better soon after increasing to 100mg. No side effects to speak of during the increase. That lasted for about 5 years, now on 150mg.
I never tried group therapy as it is not for me, but found a few one-to-one sessions every now and again very helpful.
