So I don't know what kind of music everyone listens to, but one of my favorite artists is James Author. He has an amazing voice, and has personal experience with mental health issues. So I just wanted to share one of his (in my opinion) best songs for you to listen to if you have a minute.
James Author - Treehouse
Anyone else have some songs they want to share that get them through some hard tough times, or situations?
Always try to keep my ear to the ground...or laptop speaker, as the case may be...I'm hanging in there...or as another Kinks song put it -- "Living On A Thin Line" (sorry, couldn't find a working video...not even the live versions...they really must be cracking down)
Aw, thanks, but I can't hold a candle to DJ Sillysausage234. I sure wish we could play music freely here again; I don't think the HealthUnlocked higher-ups appreciate just how therapeutic music can be 😩
Idk how to upload the video on here but theres a link, it's called one breath by Abhinandan. It's just a real simple relaxing song for me. If you like great voices I'd recommend George Jones. Also I like, I'm a long way from home by waylon Jennings and hard time killing floor blues by chris Thomas king. I've got more too.

I'll have to listen to some of these, I have listened to George Jones a little, but I'll check these other ones out, thank ya🙂
Bloom by the Paper Kites always makes me cry- good tears though when I’m sad. “Small Bump” by Ed Sheeran is another song I listen to when I don’t want to feel alone in my sorrows. Knowing the story and paying attention to the words make it all the more meaningful to me.
🙁 yeah I guess it was pretty obvious. My boyfriend played if for me a couple years ago, I was going through some stuff, and I definitely didn't hear that part. I'm kind of glad I didn't cause it probably would have given me another reason to break down and cry
I have such a long playlist and I love your question! A few favorites are 32 Flavors and then some- Alana Davis, Crazy-Alana Davis, Better Things- Dar Williams (remake of a Kinks song), You Gotta Be- Kiera Weathers, Lovely Day- Bill Withers, The Middle- Jimmy Eat World. Wouldn’t it be great is we could collectively create an uplifting playlist on Apple or Spotify that we could share? Any young ones know how to do this? Thank you for the ideas!
Hi Poppy37, I enjoyed your selections, especially the cover of "Better Things" (I'm a huge fan of The Kinks). I think a forum-collaborative playlist would be a fun idea, and it seems it would be quite easy via Spotify from what I found through their Support article on the matter:
