Has anyone ever been on an anti depressant that just made them feel like a blob and just no emotion and just existing? I’m taking Wellbutrin SR and I’ve quit taking it here recently cause I noticed how it made me feel and I can’t stand feeling nothing. It’s like I’m not happy or sad just present.

Anti depressants
Wellbutrin did the same thing to me! It took trying multiple meds, and eventually taking a DNA test that showed which antidepressant was right for me.
But please don’t get discouraged, there are a lot of types of antidepressants so hopefully you can find what works for you 💙
That’s crazy that a anti depressants can make people feel that way. Which I know what may work for one may not work for another but maybe that’s what they will need to do cause it would take forever to find the right one cause u have to wait until they kick in which is almost a month
Yes!! It’s the worst waiting to see how you react. It’s just month after month of being on your toes waiting 😭
If you have insurance, I really recommend asking your doctor about the GeneSight DNA test (or for something similar, that’s what it is in the US and idk where you are). I truly feel like it should be offered to everyone who has insurance that will cover it. No one should have to suffer for months trying to find the one pill that makes them feel better
I had taken Welbutrin and it did the same to me as well. It made me feel like I had no emotions, it was quite odd and I didn’t like it but I also went off meds all together anyway and I feel much better. I have figured out that meds really aren’t for me! Try speaking to your doctor about this though?
I'm currently taking Wellbutrin with Lexapro and they seem to balance each other out.
I am taking cymbalta and Wellbutrin and they seem to balance ot. I had taken both by them selves and I was emotionless on wellbutrin. Make sure you talk to your doctor. They may want to mix a med.
