My teacher finally replied and she was so supportive!

Hi,

Thank you for your email. I know it is difficult to sometimes address these situations and commend your wisdom in seeking help. I also appreciate your conscientiousness and candor. I am so very sorry for the loss of your father; losing family is never easy.

As summer courses can be stressful, even in the best of situations, please be sure to contact me if problems arise. Thankfully, both courses are full summer term so the work is somewhat more manageable. However, please be aware that the courses, especially the IDT course, have several assignments each week. Most of the assignments can be completed in short time periods, so do not let the list overwhelm you. As I do for all students, I encourage you to stay as current as possible, but contact me if needed.

You have worked hard and will soon reach your goal -- be sure to take care of yourself.

With my anxiety, I tend to worry about things WAY too often. I knew that she would be considerate and nice, but there was part of me that was fearful that she wouldn’t be. Thank you for replying, and I am so thankful to have professors who are understanding!
