Anyone else ?

Every time I have to talk in public I just feel like I’m about to faint and every time I try to tell my friends or family they think I’m overreacting

You're not over reacting. They don't call it stage fright for nothing. It can be paralyzing. A lot of people experience it. Do you have to speak in front of people a lot?

Thanks for saying that. I’m in university so yes. I downloaded this app because I have a presentation tomorrow and I’m having constant panic attacks I don’t know if I should make an excuse and not do it

I had to do public speaking in college. I know it can be nerve racking, but what really helps is just practicing your speech over and over again in front of a mirror or to some friends. It might feel rediculious but it really does help. Try not to be so hard on yourself, think of your mess ups as tools to helps you see where you struggle and keep pressing forward. If you mess up, another method is to make a joke about it and then go back to what you where presenting. Also, having notes with key words to keep you on point may help as well.

I wish you luck!

Do it. Even if you feel like you're going to pass out. Do it...even if it terrifies you. Because it will get easier each time you push yourself past the fear.

Hi Sofia.

I think many people do have a fear of public speaking. I think Toastmasters may help you. I have always wanted to try that group myself. ❤️

Hi ,

There are lots of TED talks and other videos on YouTube you can work through to help you overcome anxiety and stage fright.

hi. Yeah I get that. A lot of practice will help. But maybe not memorizing. For me, being knowledgeable about the subject was most important. The silence was off-putting, but I was comfortable on the subject and knew I could talk about it
