I hate quarantine

I'm home by myself most the week while my mom is at work and my mind won't quit racing. Of course with most things closed there is noting to do and sitting at home is making my mental health worse.

I also don't have many friends so i dont really have anyone to talk to much.

What can i do?

I've been there for many years. I still don't have pretty much any friends and i've gotten used to it. What i've been doing is taking online courses(there are some really cheap ones $10-$20 on places like udemy or even just free stuff on youtube) and that made my mind focused on something i was interested in. I'm into 3d modelling, programming, etc.

You could try things like yoga and such. I hear it helps many people relax.

There isn't much else that you can do unless you go to your doctor to get some medication.

Hopefully you'll get a good one this time. I never changed mine but i've been on quite a few different meds but not much of an improvement so i'm just managing in other ways now. I do think that i've become less sensitive over the years(i've had depression and anxiety for a long time now). All the symptoms we get with anxiety like racing mind, fast heart beat, dizzy spells, etc, i now fight through it better than before. And as i said, keeping busy with things you are interested in does help a lot.

Yes. Even though it's not a fix for anything, it does help get your mind out of those cycles where you keep having racing thoughts. It gives you focus on something else.

Another thing you can do(i did it and it helped a bit as well) is do something called behavioural therapy. You'd be in a room usually with a small number of other people who are going through similar things. At some point you will have to work on those things you are afraid of doing. So if you're afraid of elevators for example, you'd have to practice not being afraid of them. It's actually quite helpful because it teaches you to have courage in the face of something you find scary. Most people think that it makes you not afraid but that's not true..You still have fears...you just become more courageous and you take some risks and so it works for so many things.

Well if your mum is working and you aren't you can take over the domestic chores? Not only would it keep you occupied but I'm sure you would have a very happy mum!

I have a job but i dont work everyday. On my off days I have been cleaning but lately i dont have much motivation :/

No, finding motivation is difficult isn't it? It would be helpful in distracting your thoughts though.
