Hi everyone, I hope all is good. I recently had an incident which landed me in the hospital. I’m doing fine for the most part. My doctor prescribed Lexapro for for depression and anxiety however I’ve never heard of it and pretty skeptical of medication (personal reasons). Can any one tell me there experience or anything else about it. Thanks!

Finding Tree, it's the best medication I've ever had. I got off all Benzos

just on Lexapro...No longer tired, feel great, mind clear and no sedated feeling.

Of course we are all respond differently. Trust in your doctor's professional

advice. Do not Google. Take med with an open mind. Give it 4-6 weeks to reach

full efficacy, a little longer if dosage is increased.

I take mine with lunch, helps metabolize the medication . Good Luck... xx

Thanks for the input. I try to avoid googling anything it always ends up bad. I just started so I’ll be giving feedback in few weeks.

Lexapro saved me ten years ago. It’s a great antidepressant. Have faith in it.

I was started on the lowest dose and didn't feel any better..despite my pleas to remove me she increased it and I started to plummet & felt much worse...so I went back on Cymbalta as requested and titrated up and I'm feeling much better now.

Certain medications work well for some and not for others so although ascertaining others experiences is a great idea you may respond differently. It's a shot with no matter what you try

you try until you find what works..

Sorry about your experience with it and I’m glad you found something that works. I asked here because I’d rather get info from those who are going through similar things as myself (and everyone here is like family) then to google lol it always ends bad with Google searches.

Yes you don't want to Google and getting info from folks is the best way to gather info. Also a website called Drugs.com is reputable.
