I made a mistake at work that might not be fixable and it will cost my company $95k. A simple mistake when typing in an account number. I am sick to my stomach. I might end up jobless and how do I explain this to the next potential employer. Im terrified!!!

Anxiety through the roof!
Everyone makes mistakes. The best you can do is own up to it and say you're sorry . Most companies are insured against employees errors , accidents, human mistakes. I hope your employer is understanding and I hope you don't beat up on yourself . Consider it a lesson learned and move on .
I just had a really good quarterly review. All my reviews have been great. I feel terrible. They have been laying ppl off left and right...and I just gave them a good reason. Thats my fear...I handed them my head on a platter.
And just like that...its fixed. The recipient got their money!!!!! Wow...in a matter of minutes things are ok now.
That’s great!! Even the big stuff it sometimes get fixed or isn’t as bad as we thought. Reminds me of the time I burnt popcorn in the microwave behind a closed door. Came rushing back when I remembered, opened the door, and the whole school had to evacuate. Thought I was fired for sure!
