Heart flutters

Anybody else suffer with heart flutters? I’ve always had something going on every so often and just before lockdown I was given a heart monitor which the results came back with a slight early beat every once in a while, but the past week or so it seems to be with me all of the time, I know deep down it’s nothing to be worried about I guess, but it’s just driving me crazy 😞

Yes! My heart was fluttering fast and I would get dizzy at times. I wore a Holter Monitor for 1 think a week or 2. The results came back as Sinus Tachycardia...it makes your heart rate flutter and race. Not all the time. I have been taking Atenolol since. It lowers my rate and I take it once/day. I did also have an ultrasound to rule out Mitral Valve Prolapse and I don't have that. You should get an ultrasound too to rule that out. With Sinus Tachycardia your heart rate can reach up to I think it's 170. Wearing the Holter my topped 167 which was the highest. It's no fatal and I've had it over 30 years and it's never gotten any worse and my dosage remains the same. It doesn't have anything to do with anxiety it's the sinus node in the heart.

Good luck! ♥️⚓🌞

This sounds Just like me. My heart rate goes up to the 160s, as I mentioned I will be going to dr soon as I admit I stopped going for a long time due to the fact I felt I was getting the right help. But I’m hoping with a new dr I will finally be able to find out exactly what’s wrong and medication that can help. Over 30 years wow so glad your doing fine and gives me hope I can get through this.

You'll get through it as long as you take the medicine everyday. I take Atenelol and it keeps my heart rate normal. Yes I've been up to 167 with dizziness on the monitor I wore and ruled out Mitral Valve Prolapse through ultrasound, which you want both tests to cover your bases.

I'm here if you need support anytime. I'm still in the same dose I was 30 years ago. It's not life threatening.

Keep me posted!!🌞🌞

I have been having more flutters (or I’m noticing them more since lockdown) but not to the extent like yours. I’m going to back up Gretel on this one. It’s not fatal and something you should follow up with your doctor. Hang in there.

They're likely palpitations. I used to get the when I was stressed or anxious, it almost sometimes felt like my heart skipped a beat!

Very weird feeling. Best think i found to do was to take 10 slow deep breaths. Itll calm your nerves, give oxygen to your brain which will relieve the anxiety.

I recommend meditation or conscious breathing once a day to keep the flutters and any anxiety away ;)

Other things can cause fluttering and palpitations, like medication and certain vitamins.

Im so happy i found someone else experiencing this I thought I was the only one with heart flutters. I will be going to dr soon as I haven’t been in a while due to the fact that i felt nothing was working and I felt hopeless, but my anxiety seems to be getting worst and I know I need help. I get them all the time I feel as week like I’ll be fine for a couple days and then it’ll hit me randomly all day long.
