Feeling sick on Sertraline...

Hi, this is my first post and I just wondered if anybody had any tips about easing nausea? I have always hated being sick, I mean I know nobody enjoys it but I hate it so much it's almost like a fear of mine. If I ever feel sick I tend to start panicking. Yesterday I just started Sertraline 50mg for depression, I read all about the side effects and now have it in my head I will feel or be sick. So my anxiety is spiking. I felt sick all morning and eventually calmed down assuming it was just my worries making me feel sick rather than the one tablet I took yesterday. Whether the tablets will make me feel sick or not I can guarantee my anxiety about it will make me feel sick continuously so I just wondered if anybody else has suffered with nausea on these tablets and how can you make it easier?

You could try low dosage of an antihistamine, like Benadryl, or, as crazy as it sounds, a half of a (low dosage) Unisom.

I was on Zoloft for 20 years, through 4 pregnancies, so I understand.

When I started on Sertraline my doc had me take 25mg for the first week then increase it to 50 mg to reduce the nausea. It goes away but I think it was a couple weeks for me.
