I have lost my concentration to read , understand or watch movies. I also can't remember most of the information. Is this loss of concentration due to depression? Anybody has same issues?

Loss of concentration, memory loss.
I also lost that concentration. I was an avid reader before anxiety and depression.
Now, if I have the drive to pick up a book, it can't be complex or I lose my train of thought.
I identify. I was an avid reader as well and cannot concentrate any more. And it seems the only tv programs I can focus on are documentaries. I also spend a lot of time with reruns on in the background that I can "zone out" on and it doesn't matter. I hate that side effect of the depression and anxiety (and possibly the meds). But you're not alone.
It is a common symptom of anxiety and depression. The best thing to do to regain your concentration is to find ways to address the underlying anxiety and depression. Definitely work with a therapist. It can take time, but it is worth the patience.
Yes I have very little concentration and my memory is horrible. I forget what I'm talking about mid sentence, I walk into the other room and forget why, I can't even concentrate enough to watch game shows on tv. I think it's a combination of the anxiety, depression and the medication. Your brain can only handle so much information and You can't focus or remember things if you're always thinking about the past or worried about the future.
Oh yes.
Unfortunately, stress, depression and anxiety (along with other mental issues) can lead to memory loss or concentration issues. It sucks! For sure! But nothing major to worry about as far as out of the normal with depression.
