Any thoughts how to deal with zoloft doze reduction? I went from 150 to 100 in 10 days. Then from 100 to 50. After a week being on 50 I am going crazy!
Zoloft tapering: Any thoughts how to... - Anxiety and Depre...
Zoloft tapering
Why are you stopping the medication?
Was It not working? Or are you changing medication? Just wondering..
I asked for tapering it from my doctor because I want to get pregnant. I feel so agitated these days and I think it is because of decreasing zoloft doze. I am not having any other meds beside this.
It was working and I was feeling curred! So I thought I can go off it
15 days decreasing up to 2/3 dose sounds way too fast. If your doctor said okay with this taper, nothing can replace the advice of your doctor, might call him/her back to determine 1) what to expect as you continue to discontinue 2) what you can do to help ease agitation, anxiety or manage symptoms the meds were helping you with before you started coming off it.
Best thing to do is talk to your doctor, you have been taking it for a long time, maybe find a pregnancy safe alternative.... ?
I too am tapering off Zoloft, and I had to do it in increments of .25mg because increments of .50 was too intense. It has taken me several weeks. It's a slow process. Best to slow it down to avoid withdrawal.
