I feel a little better finally letting some heavy things out to friends and family and you guys, but I still can’t get past this, I need to talk about childhood trauma and a suicide attempt, I spoke to a therapist years ago and it was going well. It was just when I started to remember these memories I got scared of them and hid from them. Now I see and it’s painful and confusing and I need help

I can’t figure out my mind
Do you need help from the community or your family, I have a daughter with similar problems. I wish I could let her know about this site, but she does not answer calls letters or e mails.
Yes you need help. Please contact your therapist, let her/him work thru this with you. I to tried suicide 2 times, got caught both times!!! It is good to get all this garbage out, it is so cleansing and freeing. Remember you can tell your therapist anything, that is what they are there for, and they are trained to help you, give you support and encouragement. I have a wonderful therapist and can tell her anything, she gives me hugs when I leave, and when I get there she makes me hot chocolate, how lucky can I get?!!! What ever you tell them goes no further, it is just between you and her/him. I believe in therapy, and recommend it to anyone who is hurting. It certainly turned my life around.
I wish you well, go for it, sending love, peace and hugs.....Sprinkle 1.....
Hi, I'm so sorry you are feeling this way. Yes, these matters are best handled by a professional. They can't help you unless you share everything that's bothering you. As someone who's been going to therapy for years, I know it is not easy to open up. In fact, it may be one of the hardest things to do. But it is absolutely necessary. To get to a place where you are okay, where you can start building a life, you need to touch the painful spots. The raw, open wounds. You need to heal. I also struggled with thoughts of suicide, and honestly some days are still darker than others. But I can assure you that there is light ahead. While everyone is different, I am now in a period of about 5 months where, for the first time in years, I can appreciate the life I'm living, and recognize the good things I contribute to the world. Life is messy, and it is not easy to figure out how to live well. Take care of yourself, and talk soon.
As hopeful and sprinkle have said, it is definitely best to contact your therapist. Are you able to contact the therapist that you had contact with previously? If you are not able to reach your therapist perhaps some of these resources would be helpful? list.ly/list/1EXe-when-you-.... I know that some therapists have moved to online meetings. Maybe that would be helpful for you? If you are able to establish online appointments maybe it would be helpful to have family or support people join for a session or two? Praying for you and all that you are dealing with.
