I learned I have C-PTSD over a year and a half ago. I since came back from treatment to try and help my 25 yr old daughter out of the same situation that I got away from. What a mistake I have been isolated for 8 months now gaslighting from my family to thier friends towards me. Any suggestions would be great it's getting overwhelming.

I would recommend finding a therapist that is specialized in it and who has extensive training and experience in it. Its not really something you can work through on your own. I would recommend a list of books for you to read on it and workbooks but if you get triggered by them you really need a therapist to work through them with you. Every person reacts differently to treatments. There is emdr, talk therapy, equine therapy, movement therapy, desensitizing therapy, cbt, dbt, the list goes on but there is no one thing fits all when it comes to this. I an always here if you need to talk. I have it too and other stuff that stems from it.
Thank you for your response and yes I do need to find a good therapist. I have financial limitations in every way so taking to the internet is my way of reaching out.
That is good to know. Let me think of some outside the box suggestions and do some research on good websites to pass along to you.
