Positive mindset... helps us all so much!

I’ve been trying to find positive things and joy in the smallest of things as of late... I’ve always been one to take random pictures. I figure cuz my attention span can be compared to a hummingbird some days...

I was sitting outside on the upper deck imbibing in my nasty habit... (coffee and a smoke) like I do every morning when I happened to look down and got a chuckle...

Backyard covered in snow but the only green coloured grass and open area is of course over the septic tank... 😂 finding joy in a few blades of green grass in a sea of white snow... made me realize that it’s the small things we do, say or see that make the most difference.

These small things could be smiling at someone we see in the street, waving at a neighbour, opening the door for someone, making a treat for someone special or like me gratitude that my septic tank is working well... 😂😊

Note the ironic shape of melting eh?

Do you remember when we used to use newspaper?

Sorry if you're not as old as I am or weren't as poor as we were !!

Your Grandad !! Ouch !!

You must have been posh then ... or just a teenager now ?

No. It was far ' healthier ' than today's newspapers!

Organised folk would cut it into small rectangles and put a string through to hang the pieces with.

Na, nothing was wasted in them tha days.

Haha I remember it because they had a toilet with the overhead cistern.....the best for flushing imo as a plumber the new close coupled ones not as effective definitely wouldn’t flush last nights evening news....anyway the news paper was ripped into wipe sized pieces behind the large flush pipe....so no need for fancy holders people think a necessity these days ...it was painted avocado colour.....ps I love you Mary

Aww . . shucks

I've got TP.

It was Christamas all over again when I opened my front door and my new bed sheets were delivered (yesterday, I never checked the front door) 🤣🤣

It's the little thing right??

I love fresh crisp never been slept on sheets... 😊 it really is the small things... grand gestures are nice but it’s daily stuff that catches us off guard that count imo...

If I sleep well tonight, I'll buy stock in the company.

when do you get rid of the snow? Still looks cold.

It’s been over 0C during the day but nights are still going down below... it’s a slow melting process. Great for maple syrup though!

Usually by end of April it’s mostly gone... unless we get a late snow in early May... 😊

No plants out in gardens till May 2-4 weekend generally.

Was gonna say you give me an idea.....I’ve got lots of spare bed sheets in an emergency situation......2x2=4 .....just hope it flushes

in reply toSillysausage234

Never flush things that aren't degradable.

You've got to wash those just like washing cloth diapers. it's a dirty job.

Tear it into flushable strips... 😂

😂😏

My septic tank wouldn't handle that too well. No amount of Riddex will work on cloth. 😁😁

This is true... my septic would probably back up into my back yard... not a fun reason to wear rubbers... 😕
