Nightmares

Anyone on Prozac experiencing nightmares?

Yup! I had to get off it right away. I have a hard enough time sleeping as it is. My doctor prescribed me a blood pressure medication (Minipress) that they said combat veterans get while dealing with PTSD. It's supposed to lower your blood pressure and thus relieve nightmares. It makes me really woozy, though, so I don't take it often. But, yes, you are not alone in this. The nightmares edged off after I stopped the Prozac and switched to another medication.

I've heard that most patients try many different medications before finding the one that works for them. I think I've been through three already. Luckily, I didn't find it hard to get off of Prozac. I didn't have withdrawal symptoms or anything. Definitely talk to your doctor. Let me know how it goes, if you feel comfortable doing so! Good luck!!
