Your present circumstances don't determine where you can go; they merely determine where you start. Nixon Quentin

Me too. I am always trying to improve motivation to succeed and I have trouble being sure of what to make my goals in life. But at least I’m thinking about it I guess.

May I ask what your goals are presently?

Well overall to be more mentally emotionally spiritually physically healthy and within that I have a lot of little things to work on like diet, up the exercise, prayer, paying attention to the way I talk to myself and try to view myself for self confidence. The way I spend my time is another thing I want to improve. I think that’s a lot though I need to pick out a few at a time and start little at a time making it enjoyable not too hard or I may want to give up.

What about you? What are your goals?

Yeah, that’s a lot! Your right about choosing a place to start. One thing I learned about myself was always choose something healthy or at least healthier to replace what was presently unhealthy or less healthy. May your choices take your where you want to. Any obvious first choice?

It can be... would you believe I had a harder time giving up pepsi? lol

in reply to4woody

I drink coke. I have to have that, so I believe it.

I went from regular pepsi to diet pepsi to diet caffeine (apparently caffeine is a depressant) free pepsi before I get stop. A friend of mine asked what the addiction was at that point. I didn’t really know but as we talked about it we decided it must be a comfort thing.

I quit smoking too, in 2015 I believe. The accomplishment feels amazing doesn’t it?

in reply toStarrlight

It's awesome. I still dream about it but I would probably die if I ever tried to smoke again. It's really nasty. Good for you too.

It does. I still dream I smoke sometimes and am so relieved when I wake up to the realization I still don't smoke. Soon after stopping I began to exercise regularly.
