hmmmm last vacation was 3 years ago with my family and we went camping during Thanksgiving week. So relaxing.

7 years ago (?) I took a bus for a family reunion to Arizona. I thought a bus ride would be an adventure. In the middle of nowhere Texas, I slipped in the bus and almost broke my nose. People came out of the woodwork to give me napkins for the bleeding. ❤️ I wanted to keep on truckin’ but I was forced to take an ambulance to a nearby hospital to get x rays and catch a different bus the next day after having to sleep upright at a table to wait in an all night diner in the middle of nowhere Texas. When I got on the new bus, I was forced to sit next to a young hostile looking man who dared me with his eyes to speak. I apologized that it was the only seat left. Thank goodness he saw my white and bloody shirt and didn’t bother me. I managed to get off that bus with minimum damage. Just a few hematomas from being thrown around in the bathroom. Upon arrival at my destination, I told my siblings that I wanted a margarita and I wanted it now. I don’t drink…..and they said no, so I didn’t. The resentment subsided and I enjoyed my visit. On the trip back, I developed motion sickness. I took Dramamine which turned me into a zombie and missed a stop for nourishment and the chance to buy a couple of blankets for the rest of the trip. The bus driver was going through menopause and the bus was sub zero. Sometimes ya just can’t get away on getaways. (Sorry, Trailways, but I sold my stock and bought Virgin)

Next winter will be here before you know it. Tempus Fugit (Fujit ?)Ormond Beach sounds so quaint. Not too many tourists……It’s always good to hear when things are going well. ☺️

I am on hemodialysis so it can be difficult to travel but a few weeks ago I took a weekend trip to Cape Cod. It was paradise !! Time at the beach, swimming, basking in the sun and some nice meals out. Was a real treat compared to my ridged dialysis scheduled week !!

As is Ormond Beach ! I would like to move back if I get a kidney transplant someday. I think I would move to New Smyrna as it is very quaint there. 🏝
