Anxiety Heart Scare
Well if you have gone 22 years without any problems what makes you think you will get any now? If you are worried see your doctor. x
Riquette, "hypercat" is right, if worried have a talk with your doctor (or 2 or 3.) Once
you hear the consensus that you are okay, maybe then you will believe that you have
a long life ahead of you. This seems to be a common birth defect in every 3,000 newborns
and preemies. My nephew had it as well and it closed by itself. He has done bodybuilding
and is now a Firefighter/Paramedic in Chicago. I wish you well. Time to start living your
life at 22. xx
So I work with animal that have heart problems so I have no human advise but I can tell you that most of our patients that have had a PDA surgery have not had any further complications. So at 22 y.o I would say you should be good. If you go to your doctor yearly they listen to your heart you can always ask them if they hear anything different. But like I said with my patients if they had a successful PDA surgery we never see them again for their hearts.
