Is it true that sweets (candy, etc) can cause anxiety symptoms?

The caffeine probably. I wouldn't eat the whole box in one sitting.

But, I wouldn't throw them out either lol

Moderation is good. I probably wouldn't make a meal of it, but I also don't think two or three pieces of chocolate will likely have much of an effect. The key is not to make your stomach have to digest so much that it activates your fight-or-flight system and not to overdose on caffeine (which chocolate only has a small amount of) or sugar.

Choc does not start anxiety, but it will make it worse. I know cause I love choc, and makes it far worse. ❤️

Sometimes the colouring or any additives can cause problems.

It all depends on the person. Consider various other types of sweets

I love chocolate. It makes me happy, but only if I spread the joy out throughout the day or week. Maybe a couple of pieces after a small healthy meal.
