Kind people

The people of greeneville and esp Walmart and McDonald’s have been very !!!! Kind to me

I used to spend a lot of time drawing and painting at McDonald’s trying to get my bearings and stay out of the rain

Found abandoned campsites and long story short have gotten by in the woods

People could have just seen me as a tramp

But southern hospitality isn’t that way they often shelled out money for food and I tried to repay them with art and write recommendations as my past positions in vet med and the usda carries some weight

They adopted me but truthfully I adopted them

Meaning they are my foster family if u will

When I did get money I did buy them

Cheese cakes and other things and write their companies on their behalf as I am not exploitative I much prefer to give as most people do

I found a place to live and work the jobs locLky and nationally trying to avoid my friends less they feel

Obligated

Strange they say people ask where I am as they liked watching me work which is soo differnt than the college or my family

They dint know I think of them and am trying to finish paintings to say thank u

D and s are amazing managers so people oriented and not slave drivers but helpful and encouraging amazing as good bosses are hard to find wish their companies knew what they have wish I could do more

The people at the unemployment couldn’t be nicer and I write the governor in their behalf he was nice enough to listen and acknowledge them

I have praised certain psyche nurses fior thirty years but thecsystem. Is patronizing and doesn’t listen

The south is very kind

I get very very attached and protective don’t know why but I do and have to be careful

Worked with lots of mean people

The south is very different in a good way

They mean a great deal to me

Less we forget the sacrifices or the heroic Vietnam nurses a true inspiration

I might have to rebuild my inspiration boards

I want to commend you on your inspirational post and especially the fact that it's not all about you and yourself, but your graciousness and giving spirit to those who helped you along the way, during difficult times in your life trying to survive....most people don't do that here or anywhere, most people don’t really know what it’s like to have the struggle of being homeless and without anything other than the hospitality of a few kind souls. So thank you for giving me hope. And the one statement of :'Less we forget the sacrifices or the heroic Vietnam nurses a true inspiration'... couldn't have been better to hear today as they were and are my hero's, the women who served without a gun but with the medical treatment and care for those who gave their lives, so too did they. Thank you for mentioning them.

Too many of our brothers come home physically in body, but never completely in mind. I love that your and artist... me too. It's saved me from my own madness many times, and kept me grounded many days when I just had nothing left. I glad to know you too.

Thirty years ago I came home from an overwhelming mash like experience

I got dumped on by dictors and nurses and cut off from my family

So I’m not used to kind orvsuportive people. Just found out the power of bad doctors and the system

The system has been badly broken since the Vietnam War. I know, I was old enough to have seen people from high school, and college go... and lived through the horrible times of how vets were treated and ignored when they came home from hell. I'm sorry you have gone through this. I will never say I understand because I wasn't there, I didn't live that experience of being in war... and because of it being on the TV, and in the papers.... it was what disconnected people back in the states from the reality of war...it didn't seem real to them. But it was very real to those who came home, everyday to this day I know the permanent damage I have seen... I'm sorry the system failed you...and I'm sorry that any vet isn't cared for the way they should be. I'm glad your here to share and make connections...welcome

It's easy to sit on the side lines and judge, but when men and women went to that war in the beginning...it was because they had parents and grandparents that were in WWII which was a war that truly threatened the freedom of the world from dictatorship...they wanted to fight the good fight for their countries freedom, but that wasn't the case with the Vietnam War in the long run....and when the draft put guys over there who really didn't want to be there..it made it even worse. But nothing compares to the treatment like you got from people who should have been professionals and do no harm when you needed help....I'm sorry ... I can't imagine your pain and suffering.
