So today (I think) I found out that my cousin has depression. I’m not sure how to help him since he lives all the way in Vietnam and in Vietnam, they don’t believe in mental illnesses and depression like Americans do so no therapy or any of that sort. I have overcome depression myself and I may know how to help him but don’t want to just give advice or anything but I want to help him be more self confident and mental clarity that he is not the issue and the disappointment to his family. Please any words of advice will help. I need to know what I can do. Btw I live in Texas, 24 years old trying to help a family member who doesn’t have the resources to seek self happiness. Thank you
