I have bipolar 1 and i find it extremely hard to understand or know when I'm having a episode, Is that common?

It's certainly the case with my husband he is in complete denial that he has type 1 bipolar disorder, it is annoying and frustrating for those around you if you have no lucidity / insight into your condition I have learnt to live with it but I urge you to know yourself and your illness as it will help you and also your family and friends
