Excessive emotional stress and protein in urine

I recently went to get my yearly check up. Blood came out good but I have some protein in my urine. I have read that excessive emotional stress/ anxiety for a long period of time can cause this. Has any one ever had this before???? I do suffer from health anxiety and I was just wondering if this can actually be a thing.

I just saw your post and wanted to comment on it for you. I, also, have OCD and health anxiety, so I understand exactly how you feel about getting worried about symptoms, etc. Though I have never experienced the protein in the urine, I would venture to say that it is probably only being caused by the severe anxiety that you are feeling. I would say that if your Doctor isn’t worried about it, then you shouldn’t be either. But I know how hard that is to do with health anxiety....it is usually easier said than done.
