Hello I totally am with you it's constant with me my dizziness. Do you have other symptoms? How do you describe your dizziness does it stop you?

So sorry to hear you are suffering dizziness as well. Mine is constant along with a tight head, feeling unbalanced and sometimes like I might faint. Consequently I am spending most of my time laying on couch. Doctors say it's anxiety which I do have, along with depression, but I think they just put everything down to anxiety as it's easier for them. It really is awful to cope with as you know. Do you take any meds for it?

Sorry to hear you are also suffering Minnie, it's an awful thing to live with. I pray every day will get better but I think things are getting worse. I though I was going to faint a couple of times today. It was quite scary. I can't seem to relax so I don't know if tension in my body is adding to it. Is your anxiety bad and how do you cope?

Oh my gosh yes!i have heart palpitations, every symptom you just said and more.ive had it bad for about 12 years and the lightheaded/faint/unbalanced feeling for about two years. Mine was getting a bit better a few months ago and then bam it’s back really badly.

I’ve had every test going.i know mine is anxiety as I can feel it in my body.the feeling you describe is exactly what I feel constantly too.its hellish and I wouldn’t wish it on my worse enemy.i also think it’s stress/depression that plays a part in it.im always here if you ever want a chat anytime x

ward146. sometimes it's something as simple as hydrating to fix the problem.

Our bodies need plenty of water to function properly. Hope you give it a try. :) xx

I agree with you about meds. I get awful side effects and am wondering if one of the meds I am on causes the dizziness. I do hope the therapy will help you. I am also confined to the home through agoraphobia caused by this dizziness. Stay strong!

Same as me you are I don't take anything and suffer terrible swaying falling lightheaded of balance feelings all day

Yes divert your thoughts to something you enjoy. Trying to think things out when we feel so tentative it will just make you worry all the more and prevent you making good choices.

You are not alone feeling the way you do, many people on here will feel very much the same

Try and relax, Mindfulness will help, you can purchase a book on Amazon for about £7;00stg Breathing Techniques can also help you to move on

Thank you. Yes, I must try to relax more but I do find this very difficult. I will try the mindfulness. I have tried this in the past but couldn't seem to stop the negative thoughts, but will give it another go.

in reply toRagdoll15

You mention negative thoughts, can you pick up the reasons for your negative thoughts.

Are they from childhood or are they from the your working day etc Ward. Are you picking up on problems associated with your health

WARD! I've been dizzy too. My mom says it's anxiety and I believe it so she sent me this link. I hold my breath and do a lot of computer work and looking at my tiny phone waiting for bad news all day. Then I got some scary news and it's gotten worse. Plus, if you're on stay-at home orders you might be feeling caged up like me. I'm so anxious my brain ruminates in my head while I'm sleeping and my heartbeat races until the moment I wake up. We can be unusual cases together. :)

Sorry to hear you are also suffering with dizziness, it's truly awful. Yes I do feel caged up at home which does not help. Are you getting any help for the anxiety? Hope your ok after getting the bad news take care!

They could be anxiety-related but they could also be side effects of medications or symptoms of a number of other conditions. If you haven't done so already, you might want to check-in with your doctor just to be on the safe side.

Ragdoll15 profile image
Ragdoll15 in reply tocecelia66

Yes, I am going to make an appointment soon. I think they are begining to get fed up with me and they just keep saying it's anxiety. But I wonder sometimes if anxiety can be this bad. Thank you!

in reply toRagdoll15

Anxiety can have many rout causes, mentioned above, it is important you can relate to your Anxiety, Depression. conditions

The problem is with Anxiety you can become over sensitized to your body and can imagine you have serious illnesses. You need to control this before it becomes a serious concern to you and your GP.

Sometimes it can be down to your employment, family and health as mentioned above.

Hello. I feel the same way. I’ve had bad anxiety for the past couple of years now. My doctor has made it clear to me that I am not sick. I’ve had her run a crazy amount of tests and everything checks out. I know now that I suffer from anxiety. It’s difficult to live with this dizziness day by day. Feeling unbalanced and light headed. Try headspace. It’s an app on iPhone and android. Meditate by yourself. Sitting down. Never laying in a sleeping position in bed. It will help. Reading has also helped me. You are not alone. Everything that you feel is what I feel and it sucks but we have to think positive and know that one day it will go away. We just have to try our best because only we can control it. I hope you have a great rest of your day and god bless you.

Make your appointment, then write a list of the problems and Mental Health Concerns and take that with you, it will make the Appointment flow and you will be able be more inclusive in explaining your problems and fears

I can as I am battling with the same myself, I know anxiety can be a cause so I am trying to keep calm and have done one thing which makes sense and that is book a full blood count blood test for the 27ththen going to take it from there.. but I empathise as it is horrible to live with good luck in working out what the cause of your symptoms are from xx

So sorry that you also suffer with dizziness, it truly is awful and has such a bad impact on life. I hope you get some answers. Do you ever feel faint with your dizziness. I do and I find it very worrying which doesn't help. I take pregabalim and I believe one of the side effects is dizziness but I need it for pain relief!

Pat9 profile image
Pat9 in reply toRagdoll15

Yes I do feel faint which is a feeling I hate☹️I also take pregabaline as I have spinal spondolosis and although I know it has that as a side effect it isn’t those as some days I manage to go shopping so it’s process I’m going to read a good book now and stop myself thinking about it 🙂also last couple of days I’m drinking more water as that’s also vital or we can dehydrate very quickly, good luck with finding out the cause we may never find out hopefully it might just pass as viruses and things can be the cause too can’t it 🙂xxx

Yes those are typical anxiety symptoms that I have as well. When I feel it coming on, I immediately do my breathing exercises and put on a guided meditation. This usually does the trick for me. I may have to do it several times a day, but it helps.

Ragdoll15 profile image
Ragdoll15 in reply toMsteacher

Thank you, I must try more breathing exercising as I think I shallow breath a lot. Glad you have got it under control, take care!
