My newest addition to my anxiety symptoms is dizziness, it comes out of nowhere and I just feel so sick when it comes around.
I have noticed after doing certain things it does get worse. This may be TMI but after having sex I literally feel like I'm about to pass out I feel so dizzy when I stand and I just don't understand where it comes from. I am anemic but I have been consistent with my diet and my iron supplements. So I'm not too sure as to why this is happening.
Does anyone else have dizziness, is there something in particular that triggers it? Is there a way to stop it?

It may just be because if anxiety and stress, or any excitement. Try taking slow deep breaths. But let your doctor know when this happens and explain it and your concern. Dizziness is part of anxiety also. , but check it out for peace of mind. Good Luck.
This is something new for me too, had a bad one yesterday, thought I was going to have to call 911. I know they are sick of me. I just feel so all alone when this happens.
It's not clear to me what class of drug vistaril is. The description said it is anti-histaminic and is used as a sedative to treat anxiety and tension. That sounds like its side-effects are similar to tricyclic anti-depressants. One of the drugs sites documenting hydroxyzine says it has dizziness and impaired coordination as side effects, which is VERY similar to tricyclics. It is quite possible that you are on too high a dose of vistaril and/or it has an interaction with Zoloft.
BTW are you aware that problems with the HPAT-axis (esp. hypothyroidism and high levels of excitatory adrenal hormones) can cause anxiety? Are you seeing a doc who has any expertise in diagnosing any of that? (Most docs are clueless on endocrinology, though they pretend they know something.)
If the doc did only a TSH test, that is not conclusive. Though being anemic can also affect thyroid conversion. Does the doc have you on a supplement program to restore your iron level?
I have also taken vistaril before, still have some left in my bottle. I took it at night one time because I had a severe panic attack that wasn't letting up.. I took it and about 30 mins to 1 hr later I was asleep. It is an antihistamine and makes me very groggy but it does knock out the anxiety.
I had this symptom for months now, I had it just yesterday and this morning, I eventually ended up taking my depression meds, lexapro, and I am no longer dizzy or even worried about being dizzy. This sounds like anxiety.
I get dizzy a lot too, like on/off all day long. Did you ever resolve your dizziness issue? if so, what helped? did your Dr ever figure out what was causing it?
