So you should know this same scenario plays out continuously in daily life, driving or not.

She is very good at detecting any frustration or anger on my part.

If she shows no awareness I sometimes warn her that I'm getting upset about.... whatever.

Her response is to provoke me, no kidding. She knows that I don't like to be ignored, so that's the first arrow out of her quiver.

If I ask her a question she won't answer, or she will answer so quietly that I don't know she did.

I used to study language, I have an interest in it, she has none. If I pronounce the name of a town for example. She will pronounce it differently. We stayed in Wythville last night.

I said With ville.

She said it with a long I.

Actually she is given to contradict me, if I say north she says south.

If a driver comes up on me fast, flashing his lights, I can count on her to take his side.

Just saying this I am starting to think she has a lot of unresolved anger toward me.

I can't fault her for that, I haven't been the nicest person in the past.

Guess I was just hoping to get a break now that I'm Soo wonderful!

Did I say that her biggest complaint was me smoking pot?

I quit permanently, it's only been 5 weeks, but we both know it's permanent. I quit cigarettes, narcotics, Xanax, amphetamines. Starting with cigarettes 8 years ago, Adderall 1 year ago, and I never look back!

I would still love to have any input you have to offer!

Just because we do things different doesn't mean others are going to follow. If you are expecting her to change you may be waiting a long time.

Does your wife suffer from anxiety and depression?

Kind of sounds like this is the way things have been for awhile?

Counseling mayb?

It's been going on for 4or more years. Someone suggested grey stoning which I never even heard of. I got the intended results in less than 4hours, I still am amazed!

I guess she found power, didn't know how to handle it and abused that power by using it as a weapon. Whatever, I have a solution!
