Has anyone been on Aglomelatine

My psychiatrist is thinking of putting me on Aglomelatine but does it help with sleep. I read it can cause insomnia. At present I am on Mirtazapine which helps a bit with sleep but the weight gain and cravings has been awful . Aglomelatin is not licenced in the US only Europe etc.

Mirtazipine is just for depression healing, its an update medication and treatment, keep it on, i have used it for at least 24 months.

Did you put on much weight and crave carbs etc.

See my previous post re Mirtazapine. Also I have read a blog re Aglomelatine and I understand that the chemical signature is very close to Melatonin which is a natural relaxant that your brain produces to make you sleepy. It's available over the counter in your pharmacy without a prescription and is relatively inexpensive. The good thing is that Melatonin actually works. Very mild but relaxing so you don't get wired.

Thankyou. I'm in the UK and my gp gave me melatonin which did absolutely nothing for my sleep.

Ever tried a bit of weed ? It sure works for me. Gives me an appetite too.

Yes but it didnt make me sleep. My son has it and it helps him though and gives him the munchies big time. Ta
