Hi Kat,

This is a funny saying but also too often true. I'm sorry that you've been experiencing this "zombie" effect. Imho this type of thing is best fought with control of your thoughts. The more you redirect your thoughts from zombie-like things to pleasant or safe things the better and stronger you become. Practicing these "muscles" in your brain make them perform easier, faster, and more efficiently to combat and win over bad thoughts and feelings. Of course you are helped if you're taking medicines and keeping up with the right doses and times.

I’m having a bad time. My bf is depressed, and I pick up his feelings like a sponge. We both have anniversaries of losing our mothers in Nov - and his was right around T’giving. I’m beginning to hate this time of year.

A..I wish I could change that for you. I would do so in a second if I could. Losing a mother has got to be tough. I'll pray that you each do much better this time of year by next year. God is good.
