Anyone here on imipramine?

Pls need support bcos my side effect are really disturbing and also causing me ringing in the ears but my Doctor refuse to change the meds.. Pls i need some advice on what to do

It says alert doctor immediately. I would talk to another doctor to wean off or a pharmacist.

As an RN I have told people to stop for this but you should wean unless you’re on the lowest amount. Tell the doctor you’re coming off. Don’t ask. Tell the doc you want to be safe. Pharmacists will help.

Thanks for your response... It means alot..I really dont blame my doctor.. I ave been on several medication. Within the span of 5 years b4 this (imipramine) so maybe his is fustrated with me cos i dont quite respond to treatment like am responsible why the drugs arent working like they suppose to.. i ave been off flouxetine lexapro(escitalopram) and amitriptyline... Then now imipramine. Only problem am facing currently is there isnt much doctors that treat this type of condition around my locality thats why am out of options

I've been on imipramine for years and years and never had any side effects from them. If I can say one thing that is reassuring ( or was to me) is that they can be prescribed for children. Your Dr shouldn't expect you to take anything that is giving you bad side effects..perhaps try and see another Dr...though I'm surprised you're having such a hard time with these.

Same here.. It was suppose to be a lifesaver not problem crafter for me

I jst dont why any drug i found working will have something to take away from me... Which is the ringing in the ears.. Other than that i experiened significant loss in appetite. I barely eat

Pls.. What were your challenges during you first weeks on the drug?
