Hello Dheeya, I view death as a cycle or part of life. First, I accept that everyone has to pass on so that I don’t feel alone. Animals and plants have to end their life cycle. You have to focus on giving something good to our world and others. Using this forum is a good place to start. Help others to see their lives in a more positive way. This will take your mind off of dying and place your thoughts on living a better life. You’ll also be giving information and motivation that will help others live a better quality of life. Your focus will shift from dying to living. First focus on being the best you that you can be. Then helping others will come easily.

Yeah I work in a trauma hospital so I am triggered quite often because I see life and death so close in a matter of minutes. It does freak me out a lot however I have to become stable enough to be in those moments of crisis for others and know that one day, my time is coming. In the meantime, I am praying to God, working with my therapist, and my other supervisors, and spiritual parents to help me enjoy my life in the present.

If I may, Dheeya, I am so sorry you are experiencing this. I can relate so much because this is my life also. I spend more time worrying about dying that I can not focus on life. I, too, so desperately wish this would just go away and never return. It really takes a lot out of me.

I believe in life after death and I believe in God and Jesus still it crosses my mind sometimes and I am a bit scared

There is nothing we can do with regards our Death, when you go to go you go, it is a journey we all need to take.

They say when we die we do not know we are dead, unless we travel up and open a gate in the clouds and we need to enjoy the peace of not being here.

In my case I am not frightened of Death, just the the full departure itself, I suppose when I get there I will settle especially if my health conditions get better

I’m the opposite. I feel like I am just walking a trail to a cliff waiting to fall

May be you have had a loss and are fearful of the future? You might have a sleep problem with worry so a sleeping tablet might help. I would ask your doctor as sleep deprivation can make you think of the worst.

I just turned 70 in July, and it was a big deal for me leading up to it. It was hard to live in the day, when I had thoughts about mortality, and “the rest of my life.” I’m happy to say, however, that once I got to my birthday, the weight lifted and I’m back practicing living in the moment. Mindfulness of the present is a habit I work on. Easy concept. Difficult to practice. Lynne

Hi you will only stop breathing when you are dead. You wouldn't know anything about it as you would be in a coma first.

Death is a natural part of life and comes to us all. The best thing to do is live your life according to your needs and dreams then at least you can say you made the most of it.

I believe as you get a lot older and closer to death you cease to fear it so much as you get tired and want to rest. In my 60's I don't fear it like I used to when I was younger. I believe this is biological.

Live your life and stop worrying about not breathing and death. We are only here for a short time so don't waste it. x
