Hi,but stoping them couldcause a huge relapse so why don't you speak with your Doctor about the side effects and then take it from there ....Im worried about the withdrawal symptoms you will get
What are the withdrwal symptoms?
Its suicidal thoughts anxiety getting worse .......to mention a few. Remember that the tablets are more to awake a certain part of our brain ( happy thoughts part) to function .Once you're on anti depressants it stops function, its like it goes to sleep ,so the withdrwals come more now becauseyou used a foreign thing to wake the brain and once yoy just cut off its like cutting of a cable that was providing power to the Generator ......I'm talking from my own experience ...but now i know better. The experience might from mine if you do stop the meds
Hi.... I know we r all different, but when I got off Effexor I got very depressed, worse than before I started taking it. I experienced suicidal thoughts too. Scared me. And I got off really slow. Again, it may not happen to you but wanted to give you a heads up. It's good that you are looking ahead.
When you do get a doc, I'd talk to him/her about it. I wouldn't stop until you talk to them. The symptoms you're describing sounds like the Effexor isn't working as well as it should. I was out of my antipressant a couple of times and couldn't get any for a few days. About the 3rd day it was a nightmare! Felt like I was having an out of body experience!
Pleasw think about talking to the doctor before you stop
Please don’t stop taking the Effexor suddenly. The side effects are terrible. I did and it caused what I named “brain zaps” constantly. I felt terrible all the time! Your Doc will know the safest way to stop taking the drug. If you don’t have insurance, there is usually a county clinic that can see you and help with the cost of the medication. Wishing you luck!
