Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a depression group much like how AA works? I could really benefit from something like that! I have been in therapy before and it is expensive and not very comfortable. I live in a very small town so I am sure I could not start one here because depression really does cause a stigma. I do like this format!

Are you close to a bigger city you could drive to? There are a lot of support groups like this one but I can't find any that are facilitated by a therapist. I could do some research on face to face support groups for you if you give me a city close to you. Dual Diagnosis Anonymous is an AA type support group that helps folks with mental health and addiction disorders. That's the closest to an AA group I found (I actually did a practicum there). Let me know if I can help friend.
