I noticed that since December, I have been taking Lexapro in the AM like I always do, until I start dozing off in the middle of the afternoon. Since then, I have been taking Lexapro at night and it helps me fall asleep. However, I find myself sleeping until the early afternoon around 12 or 1. Sometimes, I wouldn't wake up until 3pm the latest. Does anyone experience the same issue?

I started lexapro recently and find that I am more awake than usual. However everyone responds differently so if yours is affecting you like this you should talk to your doctor
Hi! Lexadpro did have that same effect on me. That's why I had to quit using it. I find that depression is hard to lift when you're sleeping and doing not much else in a day. I'm on different medication now and doing better. I hope you find something that works for you!
I have been taking Lexapro for 14 years , no side effects at all. I know people are different then everyone else, but this does not seem right. It is not a sleeping pill too. Alot of meds will give you side effect in the beginning if they do. I would talk to your Dr., about it, take care.❤️
I agree with everyone else’s opinion. Lexapro never made me sleepy, and I took it in the morning. Maybe you could try exercising if you feel sleepy in the afternoons. It sounds strange that you can’t get up in the morning. Getting out of bed is tough but maybe you should try harder. Good luck!
