If all humanity ascribed to looking behind the physical life would go so much better! However, as one who lives life judging myself based on how I think (how ever irrational those thoughts are) others "see" me, I remain withdrawn from others. The defenses we erect due to early childhood trauma and betrayal last into adulthood. In a perfect world, we'd all be loving and accepting of ourselves - and others.
