My hair is so important to me, I understand your pain. I used to have beautiful auburn hair (which I didn’t fully appreciate at the time) but it is gradually turning very dark brown - it’s like losing part of my identity.

I do still have very thick hair but have spots missing because of scratching/picking my scalp repeatedly in the same spots over a couple of years and damaging the hair follicles - I feel so stupid knowing I’ve done it to myself. I also worry because my hair is receding and I don’t like to tie my hair back as that makes it more obvious.

Other people tell me I am being silly and it’s not anywhere near as noticeable as I think. I suspect this could be the same for you - you feel uncomfortable and embarrassed by it and it’s so noticeable to you but actually, other people probably don’t notice anywhere near as much.

Could you find a new way to style your hair to try and disguise the parts that embarrass you?

Talk to your hairdresser. Some shampoos work for this.

I'm using

Bosley shampoo. My hair is def falling out less.

I don't have any thinning spots in my scalp. The hair was just coming out in strands. This shampoo has slowed that down a lot.

I tried the biotin. It didn't work for my hair but did for my nails.

Talk to your hairdresser, and/or a dermatologist.

I’m going through severe stress hairloss it’s the worst it’s been and counting. I’ve gone through this before. Buying a saw palmetto tincture liquid from health food store with a dropper I put a few drops on my head it helps it takes a bit. I’ve referred others to this it worked fir them. Also taking powdered green drinks everyday it’s gross but you will notice results. I used to take Viviscal supplement for hair growth it’s expensive but I noticed it worked after 3 months a saw the the difference fir sure. Hope this helps.
