Hello everyone,
Hello Amanda! Welcome. This is a wonderful group of people.
Hey, glad you found this group! I just joined yesterday and already feel so much understanding and support from the people here. I struggle with chronic anxiety and major depression. Please, feel free to share your thoughts and feelings in general, in response to my posts or even in a DM. I will do my best to support you through your journey in any ways I can.
Hi. I was diagnosed with endogenous anxiety and major depressive disorder in 1989. I've been on Zoloft 100mg since 1997 and it has done wonders for me. I had to stop alcohol, caffeine and recreational marijuana use, eat regularly and drink plenty of water to stop the anxiety. In addition, exercise, even a 10 minute walk during your day, helps with neurochemical processes that control depression and anxiety. I also had to start admitting to myself that I couldn't save the world and couldn't do it all, but I could do for those as they crossed my path and I gave myself permission to relax and have me time. Don't know of any of these things apply to you, but if it does, it is worth doing. Talk to your doctor about this, as medication might be necessary. Finding something that brings you joy is important and be good to yourself. I hope you find relief soon. You are talking about it and that's the biggest first step.
Hello and welcome to the forums, Amanda; I think you'll find plenty of support here, and then some! The community is very friendly, kind, and empathetic. Take care and be well.
