I have been away from the site for a bit, keeping myself busy has been the key !
I have a very important question and would like feed back, however this question would only apply to women over the age of 23 (maybe)
I am due to get and IUD for my birth control method, but just today as I was talking to a girlfriend about it. She told me that she knew a girl with who also has Bipolar Depression as I do and that she had a horrible experience. Her mood swings increase, she had very negative thoughts, and just after a week she had to get it removed.
I knew that bitch control doesn’t affect your hormones and they maybe all over the place for a while but not to the point that it will make my depression worse. Any experience or feed back from women how have gone through would be great... thank you in advance!!!

I used this form of birth control (IUD) for many years and it was fine for me. In fact I found it the best thing, I was on the pill for a time, prior to the IUD, but that did affect my emotions, although I struggle with my mental health I don’t have bi polar.i do have anxiety and depression.
I guess it’s maybe one of those things that is individual to the person. I would chat to the nurse or dr who is arranging it about your concerns. Sometimes trying it out is the only way to know, and if it doesn’t work you have the option not to have it. Your nurse or dr would be able to advise.
Best wishes to you 🌺🌺
