Hey guys.....I had been doing well for awhile and today it seems like it went all crashing down. I walked in the house and the noise sent me reeling. I started thinking of everything that could go wrong and felt the anxiety coming and its just about to ruin my day. Please help guys.....I mean iam drowning out the noise with music but my mind is going 100 mph.

Hello, I'm really sorry to hear that. It must feel really overwhelming. I don't entirely know the context of everything, but I would recommend spending some time someplace more tranquil and that calms you down? Perhaps taking a walk somewhere, head to the park, spending time with a friend, or really anywhere that could be quieter and easier for you to be in. Listening to music is a great start, especially slower and calmer music, to help ease your thoughts. Do you have a friend or family member to talk to? It really helps to have the comfort of a friend!

I agree with you goldenmaknae in that when "home" is our stressor, we need

to find a place we can go to where we can escape the noise and anxiety. A place

we can listen to music, collect our thoughts and be with our self.

Thank you for sharing :) xx

Hey Jrick34. I’m so sorry you’re having this horrible moment. Just try to breathe and think on the good the day brought you. I know you like your music so just put some headphones on and drown out the noise. Find your inner peace. It’s going to be okay. We’re here for you. You’re not alone!!

Hi Jrick34, I must have heard you calling out because I was just about

to write you. Is this more pronounced today because it is Saturday and

you are possibly not working? Being in that environment or just anticipating

it is revving up your anxious thoughts. How may we help you?

I am sorry you are in pain right now. I find slowing my breathing helps to calm me down and if you can focus on one good thing or recent experience in you life, it may help to subdue the feeling of drowning. Try not to let one bad day knock your confidence and self belief. You say you have been doing well recently and this difficult time will pass. Take care.

Hey Jrick34 - We're here for you!!! Do you have headphones? or better yet get out and leave. Not sure where you reside (not asking) but its horribly hot here. Go find a great place to eat and enjoy the AC. How about going to the library?? Grab a book, newspaper, your phone and just soak in the quiet. We here - just reach out... xx

Dearest friend, I'm wondering where you are right now both physically

and mentally? I'd like to share this video from YouTube in hopes that

it will help.

Hi Jrick34, I am glad that you passed this down moment! I totally understand you, because anxiety always kick in when you lest expect it. It is like an evil rollercoaster.

I experienced it today. I went to bed absolutely fine, but then I got up early with all the thoughts swirling in my head, fear crippling in. It was tough. I got passed that as well.

Sometimes we just have no idea how resilient and brave we are.

xx

What noise could make you feel like that?

Good morning. I have some noisey neighbors above me. I've spoke to them a couple of times about it but they have young teenage boys so they dont usually listen. It takes my anxiety level straight to 10 when they start playing around. Soon as my lease is up Iam moving but I just have to deal it now and it's hard sometimes cause my anxiety went let me realize its something small.

Oh, teenagers can be hard to deal with. Then you need to speak to the landlord?

Hi

I hope by now you are feeling bette? I'm just getting a chance to read some posts.

If you are better what do you think helped you calm down? Is your music your " go to" does it always work? I love music to calm me. It doesn't even matter what kind. Just need to focus on it and my mind goes off into a different space.

I am so sorry. Mine started about a month ago after more than a year. I am 70 and have fought depression and anxiety since I was in my 30's. I tell myself that it will get better and it does. Hang in there and believe with all your heart that things will improve.

This group has really been helpful to me. Thank all of you .

Oh Jrick I'm so sorry to hear your latest awful news. I suppose it's not easy to think about moving somewhere else. I have noise problems where i am and wear ear plugs a lot of the time. Yes it sounds funny but it's one of the things that sets the fibro off again. And they are knocking down the pub behind my back garden fence. This is driving me to the edge. Well enuf of that, you keep listening to your tunes and try to stay as calm as you can. There's loads of us here that care about you, even my pussy cat says hi,stay strong!!😺x.
