Hello my fellow therapists. I’ve been doing great with very little anxiety issues. Except right now. I thinking there is new way for my anxiety to come out. Dry mouth, feel like there’s something in my throat and now trembling. Anyone else have that as well? It’s been a while since a true panic attack so here I am writing to you to try to direct my attention away from those thoughts and keep my fingers and mind busy.

Icandothis, dry mouth can be not only a symptom of anxiety but also medication.
I notice with myself that I tend to mouth breathe causing my mouth and throat
to feel parched all the time. It really needs to be addressed because a dry mouth
can cause cavities and gum disease. It's important that saliva be present in order
to keep the mouth and throat moist and cleansed. Seeing your GP or dentist can
rule out any health issue causing this as well as giving you some methods of reversing
dry mouth. I use a product called Biotene. It's alcohol free (so it doesn't contribute to
the dryness) and comes in mouthwash, spray to carry with and even gum.
It's nothing to be afraid of. You will be okay. Just protect your teeth. xx
