So it turns out that I am not the only person having an issue with the specific manager.
Turns out this person had lashed out with another associate, to where it got to their boss.
Surprisingly their boss is currently out, so nothing can be done.
I guess it feels ok to know that I am not alone or felling crazy or that maybe I put myself in the situation.
Perhaps I should too have let someone know the time he lashed out at me and made me feel small. Unfortunately my work ethic was mostly focused on getting my job done to get the day through and go home.
At this point I have already made my decision to change careers, and got an interview lined up for this Friday!
I’m beyond excited to see what’s there to come for me.

The world is full of toxic work environments. I have had a lot of them. One boss trusted a coworker who he shouldn't have. I had skills this coworker did not, and he convinced the boss he was superior. That company went out of business, largely from the cut throat environment the owner was blind to.
Not lust. I have experienced this more than once where the owner of a business has a "great idea". They fall so in love with their idea that their ego doesn't allow them to see flaws in it. This coworker, Glen, had worked for a company that the owner, Todd, idolized. He thought Glen was god. I knew Glen was not competent to do the job I was doing. Glen would alter my work so that he would look good by comparison.
My current work place is very toxic. Every other employees main focus seams to be sabotaging other peoples standing. My boss's hide in their office and blame every problem on the lowest level person when its clearly poor leadership lending to the issues.
I too have plans to move on from the cesspool I work at. Its always best to rise above the sad behavior of anger filled people.
That is soo true. There has to come a point where enough is literally just “enough”. Some things can’t be changed overnight, but we can definitely take charge of our sanity and maybe seek alternative options.
Some times it might not just be about the money, but possible better work conditions.
Poor management is often ego driven. They do not accept that younger, or less educated, can know anything. The best managers realize they can learn from technicians.
