I have been on citalopram 40mg for about eight weeks with mixed results. My doc has now switched it to sertraline 50mg rising to 100mg in a week’s time - apparently better for my heart. Should I expect the usual side effects o, having been on citalopram, is change likely to be smooth? Thanks

Hi, how did the change go? I am on 40mg Citalopram and not feeling like it is helping much (so heaven knows what i would be like off it?) Cheers
Just be mindful coming off sertraline in future it’s a down right brutal ride. Read up on it. Not to say don’t take it just be aware.
Ive been on sertraline for a couple years. Have been on 50 mg and a few weeks ago bumped up to 100mg due to increased depression. I havent had any side effects except when first starting and with dose change I had some intermittent nausea for a week or two. It lasted only a minute or two, never actually got sick.
