So everyone I want to start off with saying that I value each and every one of your opinions.
Tomorrow I have an appointment with my doctor and I want to know what the best anxiety medication that is NOT SEDATING and the best anti psychotic (again, that does NOT sedate you) that you have been on, because I am new to this and I WANT MORE THAN ANYTHING to make more progress but the ones he prescribed me have such baddd reviews (already scared because I've only had horrible experiences with medication)
and they are pretty scary from what everyone has told me.
I was prescribed klonopin and seroquel and I do not feel comfortable taking them but am open to other's opinions and advice.
Please put your input in!

What works great for someone may be terrible for someone else, that’s why it’s hard to give or take advice in regards to meds unless you’re a professional.
I'd tell the doctor that you do not want to feel sedated so please keep that in mind when deciding on dosages. I'm currently using Ativan, and the small dose I'm on doesn't really sedate me. Because I want to keep the dose so low, it also doesn't completely get rid of anxiety - but I don't want to completely get rid of it. When it's not present I can't work on getting through it!
All I know is risiperadol for anti psychotic has horrible side effects and is very bad for your health and hard to stop. Don't know about the others but be careful. If you have to get off them it can send you into psychosis. I got off all of that. So bad for you!
Some people need meds to have quality of life. If they put you on something that doesn't work and it's decided to discontinue wean off slowly.
Starting and stopping meds has always been a difficult time for me. I taper no matter what the md says. Some meds you can discontinue without tapering, my personal experience has been it's always a problem.
Best thing is to have open line of communication with your doc.
