I have suffered on and off since i was a child with anxiety, depression and OCD.
I was feeling a lot better until recently and my doctor was starting to take me off my meds. However, over the past few weeks something in me has changed. I feel like i have no control over my worries and anxieties. If i have too much time alone to think i start to panic, i feel sick, i get sweaty.
Went back tp GP yesterday and we are now trying a different drug. Moving from Paroxetine to Seteraline. Anyone have any experience to share? Im scared im going to get worse before i get better.
A lot of my anxiety is focussed on work but i am trying to just get on with things.

Hi and welcome to the group. It can be challenging changing medications, so hang in there and keep your doctor informed about what you are experiencing. It may take a little while to get adjusted. In the meantime, you might find it helpful to focus on some non-medication strategies to help manage your anxiety. Things like deep breathing, exercising, prayer and meditation, etc. It sounds like you are already trying to keep going at work even when you aren't feeling great, and that is the right thing to do. I find that positive affirmations like "I am capable of doing my job even when I'm anxious" coupled with deep breathing really help me get through anxious moments at work. Wishing you the best!
Thanks. I have been going to a guided meditation session on a Wednesday lunchtime but it is going to be off for several weeks soon do going to try and find one online. I do find that qquite relaxing but the feeling never seems to last that long.
There are some apps out there that you might find helpful. I use one called Pacifica. I've read that others here use ones like Headspace and Buddhify. Might be worth checking out.
Sorry that this has been such a sudden change for you. Did the work related anxiety coincide with the weaning off of the meds or has that always been a stressor? And did GP have any advice about getting adjusted to Seteraline?
