Interesting Fun Fact

My mother was one of the first girls to play little league baseball on the east coast, New Jersey back in the day. Here is a newspaper clipping from then. At such a young age, I bet you she didn't know she was going to grow up and develop mental issues and live the life she lived. She was probably dreaming huge dreams and loving life like any child should.

Thank you for sharing that picture. What a great memory to have of your mom. I always say I don’t want to be like my mother. I’m the only one that can change that. Every day I put my feet on the floor I have that chance. I work at it every day. No one said it was going to be easy. Some days are harder than others. But today I’m not like my mother. I’m a fighter. Don’t give in. Don’t give up.

She unfortunately passed away unexpectedly back in November. I'll still celebrate her and her life as my mother...but just won't be able to hug her and tell her happy mother's day.

Life is so hard sometimes. Im sorry she suffered w mental health problems in her ife. That must have been hard to see her struggle. Was it anxiety and depression?

She had MPD, BiPolar, Scitzo, Depression, Anxiety, Epilepsy, and a ton of more issues.

Were these things hereditary or did tjings happen that triggered these things. Theres mental illness in my family. In some cases it's hereditary and in other cases it's environment. You know the nature vs nuture thing? And sometimes both

It's hereditary for the most part. Some of it was from PTSD from her finding her father after his suicide at a young age. The epilepsy came after her brain surgery.

I understand and it's sad.

I think it's important to learn from the past and family so not to repeat history. If u know that runs in your family then it's your responsibility to take care of yourself. You know what Im saying? Do not repeat the cycle.

My uncle is in a mental hospital. He will die there😞

Was I afraid that I would get it? Yes. Do I have it? No. Do I take care of my mental health? Absolutely. I have anxiety.

I had PTSD. I worked to cure it.
