VOLUNTEERING HELPS GET YOU OUT OF YOUR HEAD AND LIFT YOU UP + EXERCISE
Positive Story: I am 54, and have learned through the years that getting out of my head and feeling down was helped by medicine + aerobic exercise to music + volunteering. We live in a world where others are busy. We often can't see busy friends. We are losing that connection with others. So rather than go home, isolate yourself, sit on the computer and "pine" away, get out an Volunteer at some Organization!!! It really does help. They won't judge you and nowadays these places need volunteers. All kinds of Options: Go pet and spend time with caged dogs/cats at local animal shelters (ahhh); serve food to the homeless, work at a non-profit thrift store; plant trees with local non-profit tree groups; build houses with Habitat for Humanity, volunteer to help out at a church, use your knowledge to tutor poor kids for free, .....AND ON AND ON .......This site is good, but there is a lot of negative thoughts here that can make some people prone to falling into dispair. TAKE ACTION. DON'T JUST SIT AND READ THIS SITE....GET OUT. VOLUNTEER.
My positive results: have met other kind people, I have gotten out of my head during those times, I have felt better about myself. Exercise if aerobic has proven to release endorphins which make us "UP".....But one has to try these things, rather than just read about the. lol.
Thank you so much! I love that you have such a positive attitude! I was working out everyday and had to stop my doctor wants me to get better before I go back but did tell me to do light exercises.
I feel better when I am not focusing on myself. I have to be careful because my anxiety is due to poor health which was caused by never taking care of myself This means that I need to spend some time everyday on myself I had to learn that focusing on myself, is making me more healthy so I can help others more. But through this process, I am more able to care for others and myself. It can be be hard, but I keep exercising and everything is through the strength that God gives me.
