Hi Nish, I see that Sober beat me to it. I endorse the work of Dr Claire Weekes as well.

She was my mentor from the beginning and from there I have grown. xx

I agree with Sober2007 and Agora1, the books of Claire Weekes are pre-eminent among self help books. Her Acceptance method has allowed untold thousands to find respite and recovery over the past 50 years.

Her first book is the one that sets out her road to recovery most concisely. In the U.K. it is titled 'Self help for your nerves' and the same book in the U.S. is titled 'Hope and help for your nerves'. Both available from Amazon both new or used.

Once you begin to read this book the days of your anxiety, and the depression that comes out of anxiety, are numbered.

The Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Workbook by Matthew McKay helps me. It gives step by step instruction to give you skills to cope in areas of distress tolerance, mindfulness, emotion regulation, and interpersonal skills.
