Hi Gjmck, did your doctor just prescribe this drug?

Before I call it a night Gjmck, I just wanted to say that it is always

a good idea to keep an open mind to a prescription your doctor

orders for you. After all he is the one that knows your health history

and what you need. It doesn't make any difference what and how people

who tried it say. It's about you and how it may be the key to success

in reducing your symptoms. It's sad when we reach out to Dr. Google or

others who may have given you a bad rap on a drug only to find out that it

may have worked for you quite well. We won't know unless we try it.

I never asked around when I was prescribed a new drug. However, I was guilty

of having the medication filled and then putting it on the shelf because I was afraid

to take it. After a while, it looked like I had my own pharmacy. I would go back to

the doctor and ask him to please help me. When he asked if I took the med, I'd say

no and he would then write another prescription for yet another drug hoping I'd take

that one. (that's how my little pharmacy started)

I finally bit the bullet one day. No longer asking for advice from anyone, no longer

reading the pamphlet enclosed and just trusting in the professional. Things happen,

even a doctor may be surprised when patients have a reaction. But I never want to

put a negative thought in my mind because of what someone said or what I read.

Good Luck should you decide to take any medication. It may be just what you needed. :)

Goodnight my friend.

I'm researching no addictive meds and it came up in a conversation..

I really dont have a Dr other then my Cardiologist.. The adivan was prescribed by a ER Dr.. He prescribe 5 days worth 3 weeks ago referred me to a Psychology Dr and told me to see him in 2 days when I called this Dr they had an appointment available in 3 weeks and my out of pocket was $275 for a visit.. Hell my Cardiologist charges 75. I have a prescription for zoloft but the reviews on it web page were all negative plus I took one pill and felt horrible and its supposed to take a week before it even works which is fine but I felt the drug immediately and did not like what I felt.

Oh I understand Gjmck… it's more a trial and error process for a doctor finding the

right drug and right dosage that will help. Psychotherapy is also expensive as you can

see and unfortunately isn't a one time fix. It takes time. I wish I had an answer.

Having a medical doctor would be a start. Hopefully you will get some advice and

direction from the forum. Wishing you well.
