Anxiety attack I think

So I'm at a party with family I'm trying to be calm but apparently I can't. My chest hurts and my shoulders feel tense. Is it anxiety or something else?????

It can very well be anxiety as to a start of a panic attack. When such take place do your best to bring yourself to ease. Try to control what is taking place among you before it takes full affect within you. Breathe easy and stay focused knowing all is ok around you. 😊

Keep trying to ground yourself, keep talking to your parents, keep communicating with us & keep your mind distracted from letting those bad thoughts in & win.

Think of 5 positive things happening right this very moment, in the room with you- your parents, your phone, etc., focus on those things that make you happy, that distract you & keep your mind off those negative thoughts.

I hope you are okay. That could be a panic attack. Grounding techniques help. Go to the bathroom and hold your hands under cold water, go for a walk or at least walk outside, and take deep breathes counting as you breathe in/out. I hope some of this can help you. ❤️

Grounding kinda helped me but it was hard for me to concentrate on it. I left early. Now I'm at the gym feeling like crap. Why must all this happen again. Last year I went thru this at the same time. Now I'm going at it again
