Venlafaxine cap 37.5 ER

Anyone taking this? My doctor prescribes those to me along with abilify 2mg

I take abilify and depakote for depression and mania. Right now I'm going through deep down depression.

But I finally got out from under the covers and at least showered today

That’s good I’m happy for you, I know who that can be.. I am so scared/nervous about taking this new medication. I haven’t taking it yet. But I read lots of reviews about it and how the withdrawals are crazy. I took my stress b complex though today. And I took 2 Benadryls about an hour ago because I haven’t been able to sleep lately and I need my sleep. Praying it works.

I was up to 30mg of abilify

Now I take a monthly injection equal to 20 mg daily

But I'm so depressed. I don't work anymore. I go to an out patient program. I just don't find any excitement in my life worth living for.

Yesterday went food shopping

And had dinner with my roommate. That was a good day. But now it's back to "I don't want to get out of the bed. "

I use to love showering but now I hate it I can not for the life of me recall when I began to hate it so much and why even when summer gets here I still dislike it, think it is to much effort and I am to tired to be bothered but not entirely sure

To be honest abilify made me delusional and psychotic resulting in another hospitalization with two weeks. It's a strong bad medication. Be aware.

Thanks for letting me know but how was the hospital? Never been except partial hospitalization group? Did they give you any other medication to take?

May not happen but I left home in the middle of the night and started knocking on random doors of an apartment complex for help. They called police and I was readmitted to the mental ward. I was normal working as a nurse with a family and I lost it on this med.

Sorry to hear that but are you talking about Abilify or another medication

It was abilify. I didn't regain composure until taken off of it and put on busbar and an antipsychotic which I can't remember because I quite taking it as well. Be careful. They put you on meds that are so dangerous and harmful and hard to get off like abilify. I wouldnt take it if somewhat stable. It's crazy what can happen with that med.

wow that sounds dreadful did your partner not understand that it was the medication that was affecting you so badly how long did you have to stay on it? did you get something better, people have some very interesting stories on here often sad but very interesting, how is your life now

It was only two weeks out of the hospital and it sent me back in for two months. He just thought I was still in psychosis but it was the med. It wasn't til I was transferred and taken off all of it that I went back to normal and then put back on the right stuff.

I been in hospitals so many times I have lost count

For a while I was doing very well.

I was volunteering for two agency and seeing a psychiatrist and therapist monthly

I used to drive and work and took night classes. There was a time

I had a great social life. Not anymore.

I collect a social security check because of my work history. But in 1991 I was committed to a county hospital and lost my full time job. In addition I had a bad car accident. I was in the process of getting my license back

Then my current caseworker stated to me that I can't drive because of my original diagnosis.

I'm also getting older now and have some physical issues to deal with. As for my social life, it is very limited. I'm not as out

Going as I once was. The medicine is supposed to help but I go through depression and anxiety anyway

So sorry. The hospitals alone gave me ptsd. They were like jails, treated us badly, was in with criminally insane who have killed people and children, was held down by many and injected meds, was sexually assaulted. Some of the reasons why I have anxiety now. I was actually healthier before the hospital. That's irony!!

I take 3*75mg of Venlafaxine and 5mg of abilify. Have done for more than 10 years and it works well for me.
